Headboard

A custom headboard Ponchatoula homeowners order from Cliff Craft is built to anchor the bed and the room around it — reclaimed old-growth hardwood, finished to reveal the grain and character of wood that’s already a century old. It sets the standard for everything else in the room.

Finished to Reveal the Wood

The stock is milled from reclaimed cypress, heart pine, black walnut, or aged cedar salvaged from historic Louisiana structures. The finish is applied by hand to draw out the grain rather than cover it. Every connection is engineered for stability — holding firm against the wall and bed frame for decades without loosening. No veneers. Solid wood throughout.

Sized to Your Bed and Wall

Every custom headboard Ponchatoula clients commission is sized to the bed and the wall — width, height, profile, and finish all determined by the room it will occupy. Built with the expectation that it will still be there when everything else in the room has been replaced. Learn more through the St. Tammany Woodworkers Guild.
