Blanket Chest

A custom blanket chest Ponchatoula families order from Cliff Craft is built to hold weight, take daily use, and look better with age. Reclaimed old-growth hardwood throughout — lid, case, and base — with fitted joinery and a finish that reveals the grain rather than covering it.

Engineered for the Long Haul

The case is milled from reclaimed cypress, heart pine, or black walnut salvaged from historic Louisiana structures. The lid is engineered for decades of daily opening — hinge hardware selected for longevity, lid support calculated to protect the contents. No veneers. Solid wood throughout.

Sized to the Foot of Your Bed

Every custom blanket chest Ponchatoula clients commission is sized to the foot of the bed — dimensions, wood species, and finish all determined before a single board is cut. A piece that earns its place in the bedroom and holds it for generations. Learn more through the St. Tammany Woodworkers Guild.
