Chest of Drawers
About This Piece
A custom chest of drawers Ponchatoula families order from Cliff Craft is built with drawer boxes that slide true, dovetail joinery that doesn’t loosen over time, and reclaimed old-growth hardwood cases that don’t rack or twist with the humidity shifts common in southeast Louisiana.
Every Drawer Fitted by Hand
Every drawer is fitted by hand. The case is milled from reclaimed cypress, heart pine, or black walnut salvaged from historic Louisiana structures. The finish is applied by hand to reveal the grain and character of wood that’s already a century old. No veneers. No production shortcuts. Solid wood throughout.
Sized and Built to Order
Every custom chest of drawers Ponchatoula clients commission is sized to the room — number of drawers, case height, width, and finish all determined before a single board is cut. Built to the standard that assumes it will be passed down rather than replaced. Learn more through the St. Tammany Woodworkers Guild.
