Reclaimed Beam

Reclaimed Beam
Mantels & Architectural Woodwork
About This Piece

A custom reclaimed beam Ponchatoula homeowners commission from Cliff Craft is sourced from historic Louisiana structures and finished to become a permanent part of your ceiling or wall — old-growth cypress and heart pine with the tight grain, density, and structural character that modern lumber cannot replicate.

Lumber From Structures That Stood for Centuries

These beams come from warehouses, barns, and buildings that used virgin-growth timber in their original construction. Some of this lumber originates from trees in the Manchac area of Louisiana estimated to be between 1,100 and 2,200 years old. The character and density of that history is visible in every board.

Sized to Your Span and Room

Every custom reclaimed beam Ponchatoula clients order is sized to the span and finished to the room — dimensions, surface treatment, and installation method all determined by the structural and aesthetic requirements of the space. Built to become part of the house and stay there. Learn more through the St. Tammany Woodworkers Guild.
